Energy Corporation, incorporated in the State of Utah,
maintains operational headquarters in Santiago, Chile,
South America. The company’s primary directive
is the custom mining and milling of gold, silver and
copper. Additionally, the company has augmented its
operations in Chile to include a joint venture interest
in a milling facility that serves the needs of the mining
property owners in the proximity of the village of Petorca.
The community of Petorca lies in a very well known mining
district north of Santiago and is surrounded by several
major mining operations.
Many
of the mining concerns near Petorca are categorized
as small-scale gold, silver, copper, and associative
mineral operations. Historically, the small operator
in Petorca is able to mine these mineral deposits at
a profit; however, there is limited money for control
assay work and engineering. This can lead to missed
production opportunities and overall lower profits,
even losses and mine closures. NP Energy Corporation
believes that the most significant problems faced by
miners in the Petorca region are quality control and
the cost of milling and concentrating ore. The Chilean
State provides a state-run smelting service known as
Enami. Mining operators who send ore directly to the
Enami smelter, without first milling and concentrating,
face loss of their entire production unless required
grades are met.
NP
Energy Corporation views the above indicated problems
with Petorca mining operations as an opportunity and
is undertaking the process, along with the local mill
operator, to upgrade mill and concentrator operations.
NP Energy Corporation’s Mining Engineer has developed
an in-depth program of working with the local property
owners, enhancing the local mill and concentrator abilities,
and providing Engineering services to increase mining
ore grade, tonnage and overall quality control.
NP
Energy Corporation, under the operational control of
Teraex Engineering Services, performed a field test
of this plan during June, July and August of 2004. These
bulk sampling and milling operations were successful
in the main part, and after certain changes and modifications
were adopted, the company committed to proceeding with
operations in Petorca.
NP
Energy Corporation is strongly behind the Engineer’s
recommendations that include the joint venture acquisition
of the custom milling and concentrating facility in
Petorca, the establishment of contracts with local miners
to exclusively supply ore to the mill for concentration,
and to provide engineering/geology and assay services
in order to increase grade, tonnage and ore quality.
NP Energy Corporation has been overwhelmed by the positive
response of the mining concerns in the environs close
to Petorca. The Company Engineer is presently reviewing
several high-grade properties to begin the Company’s
production agenda.
NP
Energy Corporation is also involved in various developmental
phases of additional significant mining properties in
the country of Chile. NP Energy Corporation intends
to fully investigate and explore potential opportunities.
